October 2018

BHOLD is a project funded by the Hogg Foundation to help create a healthier community in Brooks County. A community needs assessment is one piece of the bigger picture used to spark change and develop a community project.

Our team is excited to be sharing our progress over the past month. We have been busy planning our community needs assessment over the past month. Dr. Stephen Lenz of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has been meeting weekly with various members of the community. The overall goal is to help us identify the top needs for Brooks County.

What is the community needs assessment? It is a tool to help identify resources the community needs and rank them in order of importance. The BHOLD team wants input from the citizens of Brooks County.

Would you like to be part of our community needs assessment? Do you know anyone who would like to be a part of our community needs assessment? It takes only one hour of your time!

Send your name and contact info to Erica Woodruff at 361-664-0145 or email erica.woodruff@cacost.org.
